Privacy policy

When you sign: your first and last name, email address, ZIP code, affiliation (for example season ticket holder or student), drink preference, an optional comment, and the choices you make about public display and updates.

We also record when you agreed to this policy, which version of the petition you signed, and when you confirmed your email.

To verify that each signature belongs to a real person and is counted once.

To deliver the petition. Your name, ZIP code, affiliation, drink preference, and comment are delivered to University of Utah decision-makers and may be summarized in totals shared publicly and with the media.

To show your first name, last initial, and affiliation in the public signer list, only if you opted in.

To email you campaign updates, only if you opted in. Every update includes a way to stop them.

We never sell, rent, or trade your information. We never share your email address with the University, any beverage company, or any other third party.

We use a small number of providers to run the site: website hosting, a database to store signatures, and an email service to send confirmation links and updates. They process data only on our behalf.

We use a single cookie to remember that you've confirmed your signature, so you can see it again without signing in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep signatures until the campaign ends and the petition has been delivered, then delete them within 12 months, unless you've asked to keep receiving updates.

You can remove your signature at any time. Open your confirmation link and choose "Remove my signature," or email hello@utahfanschoicepour.com. You can also ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it.
